Fantastic Criswell
1990 AQHA Sorrel mare.

"Fanny" is a former race horse and from what we've been told,
she was run once to get a speed index (63) and then retired to be a broodmare.
She came to us from a trade for Danny, my dun mare.
Fanny is a unique individual, and I mean this in a good way!
Fanny is a wonderful riding mare. She isn't jumpy or hard headed.
She picks up all 4 feet and you can brush her all over.

Fanny is a good momma and she does have
the sabino trait which helps produce the "odd" white on solid horses!

She's an easy going horse that an experienced youngster can handle.
She's been out in pasture during winter, and now
that the weather is warmer, we're working on getting her into shape.
She's been worked in the barrel pattern and we're looking forward to seeing how she does with team penning.
We use her mostly for just riding around the pasture bareback or going on trail rides.

UPDATE: 5/7/05
Fanny came back to us around May 1st.
Through no fault of her own, of course.
Mr. and Mrs. Perkins had bought her for their grandkids
and as kids usually do, they lost interest.
So..... Fanny is back with us.

Since Fanny's been back, she's been ridden and worked on the barrel pattern.
Her first outting on the barrels, she got a 24!
Not bad for a beginner!!

I feel that with more work, she'd make a great 4H or Playday horse for a young person.

Fanny is up to date on her shots, coggins and wormings.

As you can see by the pics, Fanny is a very patient and forgiving mare.
Even with very novice riders, Fanny takes everything in stride!
