Something Native: Growing up in Pictures...

Nutter learns to lead!!
"Nut" arrived at around 10:20pm on Sunday May 4th
and what a darling she is! She has a star, strip and snip
and 4 white socks of varying heights. She looks like
she might be a dark brown, like her daddy,
though she is sporting a black tail, right now.
We were all there, to welcome her,
and she was imprinted immediately since
she required some good, solid rubbing around
the rib cage, to stimulate her.
Nut has all kinds of personality, even at this young age
and we are looking forward to lots of great things from her!

Nut is a yearling now!
She's at that stage where no matter
how you take the picture, she still looks awkward.
She still has the same loving and "pet me" personality.

Sonny, our rescued horse, didn't care much for Nut.
He nipped her on the hiney
and left a nasty scar. She will not be going
into the showring but when she gets older,
we're going to get her trained for speed events.
We have high hopes for this girl!
